The second the owner walks in, the volume gets so high you can't hold a conversation. (What happened to the Led Zeppelin?) And while I do love the bartenders, I do(!), this place is not a club- NO MORE BOOTY SHAKING CLUB TRACKS!! And the music is way too loud. Where there used to be classic rock, there is now club mixes made by the bartenders. First there's the decline in the quality of music offered on the jukebox. My only problem with this place is the music situation. Overall Great Bar - but too loud, and too many club tracks on the jukebox – There are so many great things about this place- fun, friendly bartenders, great bar food (especially the hot wings!!), good mix of people, dim divey lighting, great bar to sit at and a jukebox. And unlike other places didn't charge us for "a little more blue cheese dressing." I don't care where you live in Los Angeles, this place is worth the drive if you're craving "the real thing!!!" but getting the wings was quick and the staff was very friendly. They took my order over the phone and they were ready in 15 minutes as promised. The mild were plenty spicy for me but they also offer medium, hot and heart-attack hot (good luck with that). So, today during the Patriots/Chargers game I came online and read some reviews and was shocked to hear that the BEST wings just might be in my neighborhood - Los Feliz at Ye Rustic Inn. I even tried the fabled "Hoagies and Wings" but they were extremely small wings (almost a joke) and dry. And having moved to Los Angeles in 2005, I've been discouraged with the wings here. – SLAM DUNK!!!! I grew up in Webster, NY and went to college in Buffalo, NY (1983-1987) so I've known some great Buffalo Wings.

Well, there's something I can do, say goodbye to you and your tasty wings forever.īEST BUFFALO WINGS IN LOS ANGELES - and I lived in Buffalo, NY once. When I complained, however she rudely said " There's nothing I can do about it. I know a regular complained to the manager but I don't know what the response was. Many people who had signed up early when the vibe was friendly left. Now I swear all the time but three guys on a microphone berating and calling people every name in the book - that's right especially the "C" word is not my idea of fun. His "too cool for school" buddy trio noticed the complaints to there friend karaoke grump and quickly changed their lyrics to attack the people who dared speak up. First making up random rules and then using the old "I guess you don't want to sing, do you?" bribe. When several people complained to karaoke grump that they had signed up a long time ago and his buddies where going up again and again to strut around the room and only amuse themselves, he started getting angry. The guy took his pride and his girl out the door as these douches took the fun right out of the room. At first I remarked "these guys really don't like Kings of Leon" but their rant against this poor guy got nastier and nastier until they where just swearing and calling him names. Forgettable until they started adding their own words and began railing on the nice guy who sang a King of Leon song to his girlfriend before them. THEN (cue dramatic music) three tragically, ironically dressed hipsters who where very familiar with the karaoke guy stepped in (even though they got there after many more had already signed up) took the mic and with an unwarranted machismo as though they owned the place, and proceeded to underwhelm with a forgettable performance. Everyone was very supportive no matter what the song choice or the level of singing. Karaoke is not for snobs and professionals sing shoulder to shoulder with people that are nervous to sing in the shower - that's the fun of it. (I was nice and didn't say it like that but he acted as though a dastardly deed had occurred)įor the first 20 minutes or so everyone was having a perfectly nice time. Even though he was quite abrasive about such a ridiculous thing I assured him it wasn't to mastermind a scheme to sing more than others get the chance to. Initially I swallowed the sour attitude of the guy running the music when he spoke to me as if in a scolding manner because my solo "stage name" read different from my duet "stage name." Most other places have great fun with the funny names you and your group come up with but not him. Recently I met up with the same regulars I usually have drinks with there and karaoke was about to begin. I had been there before and while it was nothing special and I ignored the "everything I do is ironic" vibe of some of the hipster participants, I had no legitimate complaints - nor was I ever looking for one. Boycotting Karaoke Night – As one of the last holdouts among my friends I have been a loyal costumer until last week! Tuesday evenings are their karaoke nights.
